Chelsea Green cemented herself as a top name in WWE after she became the inaugural Women's United States Champion. Meanwhile, she revealed the original plan for her group, as a former star was supposed to join them instead of Alba Fyre.
Earlier this year, Fyre returned to the weekly product and joined Chelsea Green and Piper Niven on Friday Night SmackDown. Soon after, the trio was called The Secret Hervice and the faction has made a noticeable impression on the brand in the last few months.
However, Fyre wasn't the first choice to join the group. In an interview on the Lighthweights Podcast, the former Women's United States Champion revealed the original plan to add Blair Davenport to the faction before she got released from the Stamford-based promotion.
"When we were talking about a third [member], at first, it was going to be Blair Davenport. And when Blair was released, it was obviously kind of a bummer moment, like, man, we're not going to grow. Maybe we're not going to be a faction. We're just going to be a tag team. And then we both had the idea, like, what if we could convince them to get Kay Lee [Alba Fyre]?" Green said. Ex-WWE writer wants Chelsea Green to leave the company
Earlier this year, Chelsea Green was strongly booked on the brand as the Women's United States Champion. However, her reign ended abruptly when Zelina Vega won the title on the WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania 41.
Speaking on The Coach and Bro Show, Vince Russo stated Green should leave the company due to its poor booking choices under Triple H's regime and pursue a new career in Hollywood as an actor.
"Chelsea, get yourself an agent. Maybe an acting coach to sharpen your skills a little. You're bigger than the WWE. I know you love wrestling. They don't deserve your talent if they're going to treat you like this," Russo said.
It'll be interesting to see what's next for Green on the brand after she broke her nose at Saturday Night's Main Event.
