News broke earlier this week that Netflix, citing financial and physical restraints brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, has decided not to bring back GLOW for it's previously green-lit fourth season.

The show was already three weeks into production back in March when the pandemic hit and shut everything down. After months of trying to get the show back up and running, Netflix decided there just wasn't a cost effective way of finishing the season safely.

The decision to cancel the popular dramedy based off of the 1980's Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling TV show, has hit both fans and cast members extremely hard. Now some fans have stepped up to try and save the show by creating an online petition.

Kate Nash, who plays Rhonda Richardson on GLOW, is pushing that petition in hopes that it will help.

It's still probably a long shot that Netflix will change it's mind just because of public outcry, but you know what they say - the squeaky wheel gets the grease. In the meantime, one cast member has stepped forward with an idea to save money and GLOW at the same time.

What about a GLOW movie?

Actor and comedian Marc Maron recently took to social media with his idea to save the show. Instead of a full multi-episode season, Maron suggests making a two-hour Netflix movie instead.

In this rather hilarious video below, Maron says a GLOW movie would be more cost-effective and give fans (like myself) their much needed closure.

The show was set to come to a close this year anyway, as it was already announced that Season 4 of GLOW would be the last. A movie, in theory, would be a nice alternative to give the show a proper conclusion following a series of Season 3 cliff hangers involving several cast members.

What do you think? Would you want to see a GLOW movie or have Netflix revive the show? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to sign the petition
