Former Intercontinental Champion Ryback believes Cody Rhodes may lose the WWE Universe's support soon.

The American Nightmare is currently considered the top babyface in the Stamford-based company. Earlier this month, he finished his story and won the Undisputed WWE Championship after defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. He will now defend his newly won title against AJ Styles at Backlash France.

On a recent episode of his Ryback TV podcast, the former superstar claimed that Rhodes might lose his championship at SummerSlam, pointing out that the length of his title reign would depend on how well he is received. The Big Guy also addressed fans possibly turning on The American Nightmare.

"[He'll keep it like till SummerSlam probably?] Possibly, yeah. And I just think it depends, there's a lot of factors that go in it, depends on how well he's received. You know, with that type of character, you know, the story. He's got that really political, he toes the company line. He's ultra political, like, you know, babyface, says all the right things, that can come off fake at times as well because you know he's towing the company line and fans could turn on that really quickly," he said. Ryback explained why Cody Rhodes may not have a lengthy WWE Championship reign

Roman Reigns had a historic 1316-day Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign before losing the title to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL earlier this month. On the Ryback TV podcast, the former Intercontinental Champion claimed The Tribal Chief's lengthy reign may affect The American Nightmare's run with the title.

The Big Guy predicted that Rhodes may lose his championship before the end of this year.

"I hope for a while for his sake, I hope he's given a fair shake and an opportunity, which judging by the WrestleMania numbers and the success of his merchandise and things, I would like to think he's gonna have a lengthy run. But, you know, coming off of Roman having that really, really lengthy run, I obviously, I don't think that's gonna happen. So, I think we probably gonna see something, you know, maybe we see something in the five-six months range/six-eight months range, maybe," he said.

Many fans believe The American Nightmare would have a lengthy reign, especially after WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H introduced him as the man who would lead the company into the new era. It would be interesting to see how long will Rhodes continue living his dream.
