WWE News: Former TNA star Andrea signs with WWE
It was now official that former TNA star and Indie wrestler Andrea has signed with the WWE.
As reported by squaredcirclesirens.com, it is now official that Indie wrestler Andrea has signed a contract with WWE.
Andrea is expected to report at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida in a few days. This 31-year-old female wrestler from Ruskin, Florida has been a part of several promotions including Viva La Lucha, SHINE Wrestling and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).
Andrea had been part of TNA and during her reign with this promotion, she worked under the ring name Rosie Lotta Love. However, in the year 2012, Andrea announced her retirement from pro wrestling owing to some health issues. Andrea made her in-ring return in October 2015 and this time around, she was lighter by 125 pounds.
Here’s a video of a match between Rosie Lotta Love and Taylor Wilde at TNA Explosion:
Ever since her return, Andrea has been working for Indie promotions in and around Florida including SHINE Wrestling.
There is something interesting to be noted here, however, Andrea made an appearance in one of the WWE Tryouts back in 2015. She wrestled against Emma during an NXT match which took place on 22nd October 2015.
Here’s the tweet from squaredcirclesirens about Andrea signing with the WWE:
It would be interesting to predict the future of Andrea on the WWE roster. The women’s division is doing better these days, case in point being the nail-biting feud between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair and also the rivalry between Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss.
There is also an argument that there are too many female wrestlers on both the rosters right now. So, it becomes all the more important to come up with good bookings for these women to make the division look interesting.
Andrea would probably be joining NXT before coming to the main roster, where she will be accompanied by a talent-stacked Women’s division with the likes of Asuka, Ember Moon, Mary Dobson etc. among others.
