Damage CTRL's Bayley sent a message to Dakota Kai, who recently underwent successful surgery on her injured right knee.

Kai suffered the injury on the May 12th edition of SmackDown when Damage CTRL challenged Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Morgan also suffered a shoulder injury during the match and is out indefinitely.

Meanwhile, Kai was diagnosed with a torn ACL on her right knee. It's her second ACL injury on the same knee, suffering the same injury back in 2019. She recently underwent successful surgery and could be out for at least nine months.

Bayley shared a video of herself with Iyo Sky forming a heart for their fallen stablemate following surgery.

"We love you," Bayley said. "Come back, baby come back."

With Dakota Kai out for a while, Bayley and Iyo Sky will look to stay together despite the tensions within Damage CTRL. The duo are part of the Fatal 4-Way match to determine the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions next week on RAW.

When and how did Dakota Kai suffer the injury?

Dakota Kai suffered a knee injury on the May 12th episode of SmackDown. Kai and Bayley teamed up to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.

At some point during the match, Kai tore her ACL. Some fans thought that it happened during the high-risk powerbomb-seated senton combination. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted Kai injured her knee trying to protect Morgan, who was injured earlier in the match.

"She was injured after Morgan suffered her shoulder injury and the knee injury came in a spot where she knew Morgan was hurt and was trying to protect her," Meltzer said. (h/t Cageside Seats)

Injuries to both Dakota Kai and Liv Morgan are huge blows to the women's tag team division. The return of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Bazler is a huge boost, while Raquel Rodriguez named Shotzi Blackheart as her new tag team partner.
