WWE made the questionable choice of introducing the 24/7 Championship under Vince McMahon's previous regime. However, the title and the division became a laughing stock throughout its existence.

A few years ago, Vince McMahon's old regime introduced the 24/7 title and the division to make the weekly product edgier and raw for a more mature audience. Instead, it was filled with comedic gimmicks and skits that went nowhere, and fans found it distasteful.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Jinder Mahal spoke about working in the division after working in the main event and mid-card scene for quite a while in the promotion.

"Yeah, but at the same time, I can become champion again. Like I don't know, maybe that's a unique thing with me like that's what I always kind of, like view myself as almost like a utility player. Whatever I need it for. I can do comedy stuff, I can do serious. I can do promos. I can do main event. You know I can and I think that's why maybe I've had some longevity in WWE, because you can put me in any position, I can do everything in a way." [H/T - CVV]

The former World Champion sportingly took the opportunity to work in a brand new division and gave his best for the promotion. The title and the division were axed after Triple H's new regime took over the weekly product.

Jinder Mahal was recently released from WWE

The Modern Day Maharaja spent over a decade with WWE during his two runs with the promotion. The star reached new heights in the promotion under his second run when he became the World Champion of the blue brand.

Later, he became the first Indian star to win the United States Championship in the company. The Modern Day Maharaja had a fruitful run with the promotion for a while.

However, he was moved lower on the card in the coming years. Nevertheless, the tide turned for Mahal when he aligned with Indus Sher on the main roster and the developmental brand.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for the stars. Recently, several WWE Superstars were released from the company, including Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahaan, and Sanga.

It will be interesting to see what the trio does in their respective careers following their exit.
