Former WWE Women's Champion claims she's the leader of Damage CTRL

Is Bayley really the leader of Damage CTRL?
Damage CTRL is the top women's faction on WWE SmackDown

Damage CTRL has had some issues on WWE SmackDown over the past few months with Bayley causing her team some problems, while Asuka and Kairi Sane have been recruited to the team.

There were originally teases that Bayley could be kicked out of the group, but now the dynamic appears to have shifted and the five women are pushing forward on SmackDown as a unit.

As part of a recent interview with Gabby LaSpisa, Bayley was able to open up about her current relationship with Damage CTRL and insisted that she is the leader of the group.

"They don't know how we are in the backstage area, they don't know that we eat lunch in catering together every day, they don't know that I carry their bags and give them rides wherever they want. They appreciate those things alright and I'm still their leader, you heard on SmackDown, they call me their leader." [00:54-1:11]

Will Bayley choose to face Iyo Sky if she wins the WWE Royal Rumble?

Bayley and Damage CTRL have had a number of issues since the arrival of Kairi Sane a few months ago. Sane's WWE exit came after being attacked by Bayley and, even though it's been made clear that the women have moved on, many fans believe that this isn't the case.

Bayley has already entered the annual Women's Royal Rumble and if she wins the match she is expected to face Rhea Ripley or whoever is holding the Women's Championship on RAW.

Given the recent issues with the group, there could be a similar storyline to the Bray Wyatt/Randy Orton one in 2017 when Orton faced his Wyatt Family leader at WWE WrestleMania. Bayley could make the choice to face Iyo Sky instead, which would then see her turn against the group that she created.

It's unclear that the plan is for Damage CTRL moving forward, but Dakota Kai could be cleared to return soon and will be a major factor in their future.
