Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods faced the Imperium duo of Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci during the latest episode of WWE RAW.

After losing his Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 40, Gunther addressed the WWE Universe for the first time during this week's show. He declared that he was now looking forward, feeling unburdened by the weight of the title. Gunther then announced his participation in The King of The Ring Tournament, set to take place next month in Saudi Arabia.

This was when Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston came out to confront Imperium. Woods, as the defending King of The Ring, boldly declared his intention to become a two-time King of The Ring and humorously mocked Gunther for no longer being a champion. The Ring General, frustrated by the taunts, instructed Kaiser and Vinci to handle the situation. As a result, a tag team match between the two teams was made official.

Kaiser and Vinci displayed an impressive performance throughout the bout. However, their efforts ultimately fell short. In the closing moments of the match, The New Day executed The Midnight Hour on Vinci to secure the win.

Gunther, visibly frustrated by the outcome of the match, angrily confronted Kaiser after the bout. He then proceeded to walk out on Imperium. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for the popular faction moving forward.
