The WWE Universe has reacted to a claim that Roman Reigns and a top name were kept apart during an appearance for a show. The name in question is Matt Riddle, a former WWE Superstar.

The King of Bros was let go by WWE in September last year. He reportedly had caused a ruckus at an airport after returning from the 2023 WWE Superstar Spectacle event in India and was released shortly after.

Former WWE personality Matt Camp has opened up about Riddle's past real-life heat with Roman Reigns on his podcast, The Wrestling Matt. He stated that Reigns and Riddle were once scheduled to appear on the same edition of WWE's The Bump. Riddle was allegedly kept off the set until The Tribal Chief's segment was done and dusted.

"The funny part, little side part, of that show is Riddle was the in-studio guest, and we 100 percent did not put Riddle on the set until Roman was gone off the video screen. Just not gonna mess with that. And then Riddle went and said something dumb about Roman, like, right after that in another interview," he said.

Roman Reigns is still WWE's biggest star three years later

It's been three long years since the incident in question took place. Reigns' star has only risen over this period. He took a long break from WWE TV following his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL.

Reigns finally returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2024 and helped Cody defeat Solo Sikoa in an Undisputed WWE Title match. He is now feuding with the new Bloodline on WWE SmackDown.
