WWE Superstar Bayley recently spoke up about being attacked by Nia Jax on the latest episode of SmackDown.

The current WWE Women's Champion was at ringside for the singles matchup between Naomi and Tiffany Stratton. However, the match ended in a No contest after Nia Jax made her presence felt on the blue brand by launching an unprovoked attack on Bayley.

WWE correspondent Byron Saxton caught up with The Role Model on SmackDown LowDown this week. The current Women's Champion acknowledged that the attack happened because she slacked off. She agreed that being the champion, she should have been alert for Jax sneaking up behind her. Bayley claimed it was a humbling experience, but she learned her lesson and it would never happen again.

"I am feeling not so good. A little rough, a little sore, a little freaking mad to be honest. And I'm so annoyed. I'm quickly reminded who Nia Jax is, The Irresistible Force, the competitor she is, the person she is, and I'm quickly reminded what it's like to be a champion. You always got a target on your back. I should know that. I should have eyes on the back of my head because I know sneaky Nia Jax, I know this sneaky roster. I know that people would do anything to get to this, I'd do anything for this. It's a little bit humbling to be honest. I'm humbled. I'm hurt but I'm humbled," Bayley said. [0:09 - 0:45]

What the future has in store for The Role Model remains to be seen.

Bayley will defend the WWE Women's Championship at Backlash France

The match between Tiffany Stratton and Naomi on the latest episode of SmackDown was to decide who will challenge Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship at Backlash France.

After the match ended without a definite winner, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that there would be a Triple Threat Match for the Women's Championship at Backlash France. This means the odds will be stacked against The Role Model as she defends against both Naomi and Stratton.

It will be interesting to see if the former Damage CTRL leader can hold on to her title at Backlash France.
