Cora Jade is currently out of action due to an injury and she recently shared an image of her surgically repaired knee.

Jade returned to NXT on December 9, 2023, at Deadline, attacking then-NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkryia. She was seemingly primed to get a shot at the title but suffered a torn ACL in her left knee at a live event on January 12, 2024.

The 23-year-old superstar underwent surgery to repair her knee. She's expected to be sidelined for six to nine months depending on how her body responds to the procedure. She began her recovery by showing off some light workouts while wearing a knee brace.

Plans for Cora Jade before her unfortunate injury

There were significant plans for Cora Jade after she returned from a four-month hiatus at NXT Deadline. Corey Brennan of Fightful Select reported that Jade was supposed to reunite with Roxanne Perez to reform their old tag team, but this time as heels.

Jade and Perez won the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship from Toxic Attraction one month into their partnership. However, it didn't last long as the former betrayed the latter and they began feuding.

Perez turned heel for the first time last month and WWE officials are reportedly impressed with her work. She won the NXT Women's Championship for a second time at NXT Stand & Deliver 2024. She joined Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler as the only two-time NXT Women's Champions in history.

Jade and Perez are the future of the WWE women's division due to their ages, 23 and 22, respectively. The company just needs Jade to return healthier than ever, while Perez continues to do arguably her best character work to date.
