WWE Superstar JD McDonagh recently shared a social media update addressing a rumor surrounding a famous spot from last year. The Judgment Day member was a part of the main event of the 2023 Survivor Series: WarGames.
In last year's men's WarGames match, the heel faction teamed up with Drew McIntyre to face the team of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton. As all his teammates were taken out, McDonagh started climbing one of the two cages, seemingly to escape the structure. However, The Visionary and The Great Liberator pushed him off the top into a picture-perfect RKO.
WWE recently posted a video of JD McDonagh and fellow Judgment Day members reacting to the clip. As Dominik Mysterio pointed out, the Irishman was trying to escape, but the latter declined the claims, stating he was going for a cross body of the top instead. McDonagh reshared the post on Instagram stories to clarify his actions.
"Setting the record straight...," he wrote.

Former WWE writer is not impressed with JD McDonagh and Finn Balor
Finn Balor and JD McDonagh won the World Tag Team Championship in June. The duo defended their titles for only the second time on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. The champions defeated The War Raiders after interference from Dominik Mysterio and Carlito.
On the latest edition of Sportskeeda's Legion of RAW, former WWE head writer Vince Russo questioned Balor and McDonagh retaining the title. 63-year-old does not hold high regard for The Judgment Day members' championship reign.
"I don't know why they're keeping the belts on Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. I have no idea why they're keeping the belts on those guys. Those two guys mean absolutely nothing. So, you just beat another tag team in the Vikings," he said.[From 10:52 onwards]

Despite the successful title defense, there has been tension within the members of The Judgment Day lately. It remains to be seen what the future has in store for the heel faction.
