WWE News: Jinder Mahal responds to allegations of being on steroids

Jinder Mahal has recently been given the “Hardbody” moniker

What’s the story?

After a two-year absence from the company, Jinder Mahal returned to the WWE last year with a muscular, low-bodyfat physique that led to speculation amongst fans about him being on steroids.

Mahal recently posted a photo on Instagram, with a caption denying any such wrongdoings.

In case you didn’t know...

A significant change

Jinder Mahal (real name Yuvraj Singh Dhesi) has been a part of the WWE since 2011 when he debuted in a program with The Great Khali. The glaring changes in his physique have led to fans levying the aforementioned accusations on the Canadian WWE Superstar.

The heart of the matter:

Mahal addressed the issue in a recent post on Instagram, pointing out the fact that he has been tested by the WWE multiple times since his return. Mahal attributed his new look to rigorous training and diet.

The caption of the Instagram post is as follows:

“#TBT to a few weeks ago, no idea exactly when or where... Anyone else on the roster have veins in their abs ?? And of course I’ll get a hundred “steroid” or “wellness” comments …

I’ve been tested multiple times since coming back, and have never once in over 6 years with WWE had any issues. Follow my IG stories or my SnapChat and you can see that no one is out-training me, and no one is out-dieting me.”

Here is Mahal’s Instagram post accompanying the said statement:

What’s next?

Mahal is currently signed to Monday Night RAW and recently lost a singles match to Sami Zayn on the RAW after Mania.

Author’s take:

Truth be told- As long as Mahal doesn’t fail a drug test for steroids, it would be wrong for one to accuse him of being on performance enhancing drugs.

That said, with the bundles of veins popping out of every part of his body including, as Jinder himself pointed out, his abs; one can’t help but speculate about what exactly helped the 14-year pro-wrestling veteran achieve the seemingly miraculous change in his physique.

Must be the ‘Vitamins’ Hulk Hogan always talks about.
