Dominik Mysterio of Judgment Day defeated former tag team champion Xavier Woods with some help from Rhea Ripley on tonight's WWE RAW.
Ripley and Dominik Mysterio were interviewed backstage and asked about Natalya's return and what it meant for the women's champion. However, Xavier Woods and Akira Tozawa interrupted them. The New Day member challenged the young Mysterio to a match to which Ripley agreed on his behalf.
During the match, The New Day member had Dom Dom in a side headlock a few moments after the bell rang. He focused on Mysterio's leg as he reached the bottom rope.
The 26-year-old star played mind games as Mami cheered him on from ringside. Woods hit Mysterio with a series of chops into the corner.
Later, the Judgment Day member managed to get the upper hand and set his opponent up for the 619. The former King of the Ring winner turned it around and mocked his move.
In the match's final moments, Woods proceeded to a drop kick off the top rope, followed by an unsuccessful pin attempt. A slight interference by Ripley enabled the Judgment Day member to distract Woods and pin him.
It remains to be seen what is planned for Dominik Mysterio ahead, along with his heel faction members.
