WWE News: Lana may be moving to NXT as a full-time wrestler

Lana has been quite over with the crowds in the past

WWE host Cathy Kelley, in a recent video on YouTube, has teased the possibility that Lana may be going down to NXT to wrestle for the promotion full-time. WWE posted the video on their YouTube channel, suggesting that The Ravishing Russian may be going into developmental to work on her in-ring skills.

Lana had made her in-ring debut earlier this year at WrestleMania 32 at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas in front of over a 100,000 people. Since then, she has not had another match until last weekend when she took to the ring at an NXT live event in St. Petersburg.

The Ravishing Russian was booked in a match against latest NXT signing Mary Dobson. During the course of the match, the crowd chanted her name and Lana seemed to be relishing the crowd’s chants as a babyface.

After some back and forth action in the match, Lana finally picked up the victory with the Lana Bomb which is a modified version of the Fisherman’s Spinebuster.

Lana might be a more regular feature on NXT unlike her Total Divas co-star Eva Marie. However, this begs the question of whether she will continue to accompany Rusev to the ring. Rusev is currently involved in a feud with Enzo and Cass.

Lana’s hotel segment with Enzo has, in fact, been one of the talking points of this rivalry.

Even on the recent episodes of E! network’s reality series, Total Divas, Lana’s wrestling career has been a major focus of the show. The hit reality show has portrayed in the past, how intense and dedicated Lana has been with her wrestling career. Lana has approached the likes of Paige and Natalya for wrestling lessons in the past.

With the reaction she has been getting, it looks like the WWE Universe is on her side. But it still remains to be seen if Lana can step into the ring and have a promising singles career.
