Michael Cole doubled down on a match stipulation at Money in the Bank. This indicated that WWE was trying to undo a mistake Cody Rhodes made in AEW.

After losing the Women's Tag Team Title on the RAW following WrestleMania 41, Becky Lynch betrayed Lyra Valkyria and assaulted her viciously. The two locked horns at WWE Backlash, and it was Valkyria who came out on top. However, Lynch assaulted her former protege following the bout.

The upstart challenged The Man to another match. This time, if Lynch lost, she would not be able to challenge for the Women's Intercontinental Championship as long as Lyra was the champion, but if Lynch won, then Lyra would have to raise her hand.

This stipulation was very similar to the one Cody Rhodes laid down when he challenged for the AEW World Championship. The American Nightmare said he would never challenge for the title again if he lost. Cody Rhodes lost the contest, and the stipulation arguably proved to be a big mistake.

WWE tried to avoid this mistake by announcing that if Lynch lost, she couldn't challenge for the title as long as Lyra Valkyria was the champ.

During the match, Michael Cole doubled down on this stipulation and reminded fans that if The Man lost the bout, she would never be able to challenge for the title as long as Valkyria was the champion.

It will be interesting to see who will walk away with the Women's Intercontinental Championship.
