WWE News: Paul Heyman issues a warning to Goldberg!

Bill Goldberg in an interview with Jonathan Coachman on ESPN’s Sportscenter

Paul Heyman took to twitter to issue a warning to Goldberg, following the latter’s comments during an ESPN Sportscenter interview with Jonathan Coachman.

The wrestling world is ecstatic about the possibilities of witnessing a rematch which has been billed as the ultimate fantasy fight for years- ‘Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg’. Although WWE hasn’t made anything official as of now, all the signs point towards the materialisation of every wrestling fan’s long time dream.

Bill Goldberg recently appeared on EPSN’s weekly Off the Top Rope segment with former WWE interviewer and announcer Jonathan Coachman to promote the WWE 2K17 game and also addressed the rumours about his in-ring return in detail.

When asked about his preferred opponents for his return, the 49-year-old wrestling legend had no trouble naming Brock Lesnar as the one who’d top the list. He was quoted as saying:

"I would be remiss in saying I don't owe Brock Lesnar a rematch, I was able to prosper and have my hand raised at the first meeting, and I think if I ever came back, that'd be the match. I would have to work my ass off to get ready for him, but you never say never. I've said it for 12 years.”

He also ended up talking about Brock Lesnar’s impressive stature and in-ring abilities:

"Brock's a different human being. Matter of fact, he's probably not even a human being. He's like a superhero alien guy -- big, strong, fast and mean. But I don't know, man, I beat him once."

Goldberg is right, he has indeed defeated Brock Lesnar once back in 2004 at the grandest stage of them all at Wrestlemania 20 in a rather forgettable fight. But does this mean he can repeat the feat once again?

Well, Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar’s advocate certainly does not think so! Paul Heyman warned Goldberg about the danger that the Mayor of the Suplex City is in his recent tweet-

WWE too was quick to take notice and tweeted the following

By the looks of it, the reports about a ‘Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar’ main eventing Survivor Series seem to be true. Since Goldberg’s recent appearance in the WWE 2K17 promo, there have been many interviews which suggested about a possible in-ring return for Goldberg.

It has to be noted that Sting’s appearance for WWE 2K15 also resulted in a fight against Triple H, something which seemed impossible for nearly two decades, It wouldn’t be a surprise if the same happens with Goldberg.

It would be interesting to see how the feud between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg pans out and looking at Lesnar’s Facebook page, we can say that the seeds have already been sown.

Fight fans have all the reasons to be excited!
