Big E is having some fun during his time off
Big E is a former WWE Champion

While recovering from a neck injury, former WWE Champion Big E has been a busy man, making numerous appearances outside the ring. The Powerhouse of Positivity crashed yesterday's Birmingham Stallions vs. Michigan Panthers mid-game interview.

Big E also carried a custom WWE Championship during the appearance, with the Panthers' logo on its side plates. You can view his picture from a mid-match interview below:

Unfortunately for the Panthers, the Birmingham Stallions scored a big win over their opponents. Big E's appearance isn't a one-time thing, as last month, it was announced that he would be the host for the Panthers' home games this summer:

"It's something I'm really excited about," Big E told Fox 2 Detroit in a recent interview. "Everything good in my life is because of WWE and wrestling but my first love was always football. Growing up in Florida, football was key. It's that same kind of energy. We're just taking it and we're putting it in a different place but I would really want people to show up to the Michigan Panthers' games. I want to give them the very best experience possible."

Big E has been away from WWE TV because of an injury

Big E walked into 2022 the WWE Champion, but the year didn't turn out well for him. At the Day 1 event, E lost the championship to Brock Lesnar in a Fatal Five-Way bout. He never received a one-on-one shot at the title again and was drafted to SmackDown, where he landed back in the mid-card scene.

Last March, The New Day entered a feud with the Brawling Brutes, and the two teams had an entertaining rivalry. However, it was halted after Big E awkwardly landed on his neck following a belly-to-belly suplex by Ridge Holland.

Over the next few months, it was revealed that Big E would be on the shelf for longer than expected as he had fractured his C1 and C6 vertebrae. Nonetheless, this hasn't kept Big E away from his fans. He has also been working with the promotion in different capacities while recuperating from his injury.

At this point, there is no timeline for Big E's much-awaited return to the squared circle. Everyone here at Sportskeeda wishes Big E a speedy recovery.
