Ever since he debuted in NXT, Lexis King has established himself as one of the top heels in the company. King has made it clear he would do anything to win his matches.
Lexis King has been feuding with Oro Mensah in recent weeks. This rivalry started after King made some personal comments about Mensah's father. However, in recent weeks, Oro has undergone a massive change in his character. Gone are the days of him trying to cheat to win. However, this change didn't go as planned, as Oro Mensah picked up a controversial win on the 24 September 2024 episode of WWE NXT.

As a result, King suggested that they compete in a Gentleman's Duel tonight on WWE NXT. Both men put on a tough fight against each other. However, it was Lexis King who picked up the win with a rollup.
Following the match, King broke character and shook Mensah's hands, which even seemed to confuse Oro Mensah. Vic Joseph said that Lexis King's conversation with CM Punk two weeks ago brought about this massive change in him.
