Popular WWE star claims she has no interest in wrestling

A popular WWE star recently claimed she has no interest in getting inside the squared circle. The 37-year-old signed with the Stamford-based company in 2021.

Jackie Redmond joined the wrestling promotion as the co-host of RAW Talk and Talking Smack. The Canadian is currently a part of the red brand broadcasting team. Redmond also works for TNT Sports, covering the NHL.

Jackie Redmond recently took to her X/Twitter account to clear up a misunderstanding regarding her recent statement. A news article claimed that the backstage interviewer had stated former WWE Champion CM Punk could help her make her in-ring debut.

Jackie clarified that she meant that The Best in the World could play a significant role in getting a hockey player inside the squared circle. Redmond further noted that she has no desire to wrestle.

"That’s not at all what I said!? lol I said if anyone can get a HOCKEY PLAYER in the ring it would be CM Punk. I have absolutely zero desire to wrestle😂," she wrote.

Jackie Redmond revealed former WWE announcer used to help her

Jackie Redmond recently talked about how Samantha Irvin helped her during her early days in the wrestling promotion.

During her appearance on the Gabby AF podcast, Redmond stated that Irvin approached her on her first day at work to ensure she was comfortable. She added that the former WWE announcer and her fiance Ricochet often drove her back to her hotel after shows.

"Sam is someone that, on day one, that came up to me and made an effort to make sure that I was comfortable and if I needed anything. Her and Ricochet would drive me back to the hotel after the show, just little things that go a long way, and you know, I think that just speaks to her heart. I think she knew that I didn’t know anybody, and I didn’t know how to sort of, like, break that life with a lot of people outside of doing the actual work. I think she saw that I was having a bit of a hard time with it, and she and her soon-to-be husband were really great to me. That’s why I have so much love for Sam outside of the talent and everything else," she said. [H/T: NoDQ]

Samantha Irvin announced her departure from WWE hours before the October 21 edition of Monday Night RAW. It remains to be seen what lies ahead for the talented vocalist following her exit from the wrestling promotion.
