Recently debuted WWE star defeated in a title match after taking huge shot at current champion

Lainey Reid challenged Jacy Jayne for the WWE NXT Women's Championship on the latest episode of the black and silver brand. She made her NXT debut last week and took a big shot at the champ.

During Fatal Influence's in-ring segment last week, Reid showed up uninvited and called Jayne "the most beatable champion of all time." On this week's show, she reiterated that the latter was "the most beatable champion in WWE history."

During their match, Lainey Reid nearly pinned Jacy Jayne after the bell rang, but the latter kicked out just in time. Lainey hit the champion with a few kicks and elbow strikes in the corner. She performed a crossbody off the ropes but only got a two count.

Jacy Jayne hit her with a few kicks and two sentons. She stomped on Reid's throat and stunned her using the ropes. Lainey took down the champion with a blockbuster off the corner and did a twisting neckbreaker for a two-count.

Jayne hit a hurricanrana, missed a kick, and ate a knee for a nearfall. Fallon Henley distracted Reed while the latter was in the corner, and Jayne pulled her off the middle turnbuckle.

Finally, Jacy hit her opponent with the Rolling Encore and won the match to retain the WWE NXT Women's Championship.
