For months, Owens helped Rhodes fight The Bloodline. At the 2024 Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event, The American Nightmare gave The Prizefighter a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship. Unfortunately for Owens, he was unable to win the title.
Leading up to the Bad Blood Premium Live Event, things got heated between Rhodes and Owens, as the latter didn't appreciate The American Nightmare teaming up with Reigns. The former Universal Champion has quite the history with Reigns and The Bloodline.
