WWE made a major change on SmackDown tonight and this change has the WWE Universe divided over it. This was the presence of the Prime logo on the mat, which so far had been seen only on premium live events.

Tonight's episode of SmackDown took place in Toronto, Canada and served as the go home show for the Money in the Bank PLE. The show kicked off with all the men's Money in the Bank participants promising to climb the ladder and retreive the briefcase. Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens then came out and addressed their match against Bloodline. The show also featured a title match in the main event as DIY faced off against A-Town Down Under. DIY were able to win the titles for the first time since joining the main roster.

However, WWE made one visible change on the blue brand tonight as the Prime logo was present on the mat and on the turnbuckles. When Logan Paul announced Prime and WWE's partnership a few months ago, he had said that the logo would only appear in the ring during premium live events.

Considering that SmackDown is clearly not a PLE, fans took to social media to question the presence of the Prime logo on the weekly show. Fans seemed to remain divided on this issue.

While most questioned the necessity for the branding on the weekly show and felt it took attention away from the stars, a few posted they liked the visual change. It remains to be seen if the Prime logo is going to find its way into the ring during RAW and SmackDown as well.
