WWE constantly tries to expand its pool of talent by recruiting new superstars for the main roster and its developmental brand, NXT. General Manager Ava usually has a hard time managing the division's stars. However, The Rock’s daughter looked cheerful on the July 9, 2024, episode of NXT when she signed two new stars.
Cedric Alexander and Ashante "Thee" Adonis were seen inside Ava’s office as they joined the roster of the White and Gold brand. Her assistants, Mr. Stone and Stevie Turner, brought the stars in. While Ashante was in his usual character, Alexander sported a semi-formal look with glasses and new hair that made the 34-year-old completely unrecognizable.
The two stars were brought to NXT after Brooks Jensen viciously attacked Je’Von Evans backstage moments after he was cleared to stay on the brand. Initially, it seemed that one of these stars would later team up with Trick Williams for the night’s main event against Shawn Spears and Ethan Page. However, they didn’t make an in-ring appearance during the episode.
Notably, Cedric Alexander was one of the few stars who were present at WWE’s Madison Square Garden show on June 28, 2024. However, he didn't perform at the venue.
It would be interesting to see what new angles Ashante and Alexander can bring to WWE NXT.
