Pretty Deadly are the newest tag team on the block to have been called up from NXT, and Dutch Mantell has already passed his judgment following their first SmackDown match this week.
Elton Prince and Kit Wilson have been in WWE since 2020 and have risen in prominence over the past couple of years, having won the NXT Tag Team Championship twice. The young duo was drafted to SmackDown recently, and NXT faithful were excited to see how they would fare in the big leagues.
While reviewing SmackDown, Dutch Mantell said that his "jury was already out" on Pretty Deadly, who haven't made the best first impression on the former WWE manager:
"My jury is out on this team. What is it? Pretty Deadly? My jury is out on those guys because I think they could be too cute for their own good. Did they get over in NXT?" [39:10 to 39:30]

It was mentioned on SmackDown that one of Pretty Deadly's members was allegedly a model for a dating app, and upon hearing it, Dutch Mantell joked that he'd quit dating.
The 73-year-old further jibed at the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions and added that they might not last long in WWE.
"One of them was a male model in a women's magazine, they said? So he is the mascot for a dating app? That made me quit dating! If I was dating, I'd quit. My Jury is out on Pretty Deadly. They might be pretty unemployed before long." [40:41 to 41:20]
'This match lacked something': Dutch Mantell on Pretty Deadly's SmackDown debut
The former NXT stars wrestled their first match since being assigned to the SmackDown brand, and they managed to pull off a high-profile win against The Brawling Brutes. While Pretty Deadly hit their "Spilt Milk" finisher on Ridge Holland for a vital three-count, Dutch Mantell wasn't too impressed by the match.
Mantell admitted that the fans want to boo Pretty Deadly, but they currently didn't have what it took to get genuine heat from the main roster crowd. Dutch thinks Prince and Wilson don't even look like professional wrestlers:
"I agree with you; this match lacked something. I think the people, the fans, they want to dislike this team. They want to get with it. But, like I said, they are a little too cute for their good right now. I mean, they are not really big guys; they are kind of tall, aren't they? They don't have the big bodies and all that. They really don't look like wrestlers, to tell you the truth." [39:31 to 40:40]
