WWE News: Tony Nese offered full-time WWE contract by William Regal on Evolve 73

Tony Nese is a full-time WWE performer now

Former TNA superstar Tony Nese has impressed one and all in the WWE ever since he appeared in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament earlier this year. Post that, he was also included in the Raw roster and has been in action on the show every now and then.

Of late, there has been a lot of talk about Nese being handed an extended contract by the WWE but there has been no clarity on the situation. However, an incident that took place at Evolve Wrestling’s latest show, Evolve 73, may have cleared some doubts.

The event which was held tonight at The MCW Arena in Joppa, Maryland saw NXT general manager William Regal make an appearance. Regal stood in the middle of the ring and offered a full-time WWE contract to Tony Nese while everyone present in the arena went up in a round of applause.

Although there is no update on how Nese responded to William Regal’s offer, it is likely that he has already signed up full-time with the WWE. It is quite apparent that the NXT general manager’s visit to Evolve 73 was just a gimmick to make it official that Tony Nese has been roped in by the world’s most popular wrestling promotion.

Nese’s associate from Evolve, Drew Gulak, who also participated in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament, has also been in line for a full-time contract. Just like his partner, Gulak, too, has made occasional appearances on Raw as well as NXT.

However, there is still no update to suggest that Drew Gulak has earned a deal with the WWE yet. Tony Nese, meanwhile, is all set to make a permanent move to the WWE and could be in action pretty soon.
