Back in 2018, WWE signed a deal with FOX to air SmackDown on its network. The five-year deal has now come to an end with the latest edition of the blue brand.

After SmackDown came to a close, Triple H took to X/Twitter to share an emotional message addressed to FOX. Here's what The Game wrote in his tweet:

"Thank you to FOX for an unforgettable five years of broadcast television, pushing @WWE further into the mainstream. #SmackDown"

WWE SmackDown's five-year run on FOX gave fans some of the most memorable and iconic moments in the show's history. The Bloodline's entire run, the NXT invasion, and several other major moments took place on SmackDown on FOX.

On the other hand, this era also gave fans some of the worst moments in WWE history. On the premiere episode of SmackDown on FOX, Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston in a matter of seconds to become the WWE Champion and end the latter's months-long title run. There was no follow-up to the squash and Kofi simply moved on from the loss.
