Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon sold his shares in TKO. A wrestling veteran now thinks he could finance a former WWE champion to start a new promotion.

The former champion in question is none other than Vince's son, Shane McMahon. Like his father, the 54-year-old is reportedly no longer under contract with WWE. Meanwhile, Shane O'Mac was spotted in a meeting with AEW co-owner Tony Khan, amid rumors of him potentially joining the promotion. In an interview with Cafe de Rene, former RAW Interim General Manager Jonathan Coachman did not rule out Shane potentially joining AEW.

Meanwhile, The Coach suggested two other possible scenarios in which Shane O'Mac could start his own wrestling promotion:

"It would not surprise me in the least if a) he went there [AEW] or b) if he started his own company, or c) Vince who cashed in a bunch of stocks is now worth $3-4 billion dollars but has nowhere to put it, what if he gave it to his son and he started it?" Coachman said.

An ex-WWE star recently seemingly revealed she had a crush on Shane McMahon

While Shane McMahon's name has been recently in the news amid the speculations of his potential move to AEW, former superstar Cherry had something different to say about Vince McMahon's son in an interview with Wrestling Then And Now.

Deuce n' Domino's former manager seemingly revealed that she had a crush on Shane O'Mac, stating that he was "good-looking":

"Shane was just in passing too. He's huge. He's like a big dude [laughs]. So, to be able to wrestle, good for him because he's got the size on him. So, and good-looking. Did I just say that? [Laughs]. And he's a good-looking dude [laughs]. [Kara McMahon, what could've been?] Oh my God! He wouldn't have been able to handle me. I'm a little, yeah, no, we won't go there, anyway," she said.

Shane McMahon last appeared on WWE TV in 2023 when he made a surprise return at WrestleMania 39. It would be interesting to see if fans would soon see him back inside a wrestling ring.
