#3 Original plans for Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 37

WWE are going ahead with a Tag Team Turmoil match instead of the Woman's Battle Royal.

WrestleMania 37 is just days away now and it looks like there will be no Women’s Battle Royal on the card. The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal will be taking place this year, but on the go-home edition of SmackDown instead of WrestleMania.

As far as the Women’s Battle Royal is concerned, WrestleVotes reported that WWE had initially planned for one. The final two from the Battle Royal would be declared winners and team up against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler - the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions - on Night 2 of WrestleMania:

Original idea prior to the Women's Tag Team Turmoil match being decided on was to have the annual Women's Battle Royal where the final 2 would be "winners" & form a tag team the next night. Much like the WM 15 Battle Royal that Test & D'Lo won, then lost later to Owen & Jarrett.

As we mentioned earlier, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships' challengers will now be determined in a Tag Team Turmoil match on Night 1 of WrestleMania.
