The New Day have been one of the longest-serving tag teams in WWE history and also one of the most successful. The team has been tag champions in WWE a total of twelve times and has been one of WWE's most dependable trio. Despite all their achievements, a wrestling veteran has shared a damning verdict about the future of the legendary tag team.

With Big E out of wrestling due to a neck injury, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been carrying the flag for the group. The two have however fallen out of the title picture in recent times and many have felt the group has grown stale.

In recent weeks, Karrion Kross has shared some of his signature wisdom with both members of the tag team that suggests a change might be incoming.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, wrestling veteran and Hall of Fame journalist, Bill Apter however feels that even a big change to turn them heel will not be enough and the group requires a complete repackage to generate any interest.

"New Day rocks but it's just, it's just not sticking anymore. They need to do something new with them, with different opponents and I don't know, it's kinda like they need to be repackaged." [58:27 - 58:44]
