Triple H has appeared in dozens of video games since joining WWE in 1995. In a recent YouTube video, former WWE star Stevie Richards claimed the company went to great lengths to protect The Game's image.
Richards worked for WWE between 1999 and 2008. During that time, Triple H was one of wrestling's biggest stars. He regularly appeared in WrestleMania storylines and world championship matches.
On The Stevie Richards Show, Richards recalled how the company banned the 14-time world champion's character from losing in video game promotional footage:
"There was a memo going around saying that Triple H cannot, under any circumstances, be shown in promotional materials, commercials, ads, screenshots, gameplay, in a vulnerable position or getting pinned. You wanna spend your time and resources on certain things when you run a company, and I don't think that's really something that should be in the top 10 or a hundred." [0:34 – 1:10]

In April 2022, Triple H retired from in-ring competition after suffering from heart failure a year earlier. He became WWE's main roster creative figurehead in July 2022, replacing his father-in-law Vince McMahon.
Stevie Richards reacts to another Triple H story
The Stevie Richards Show host James Romero said Rene Dupree once revealed he had larger outfit measurements than Triple H when he joined WWE. A seamstress allegedly lowered Dupree's numbers to make it appear like The King of Kings was bigger than his fellow wrestler.
After hearing the story for the first time, Richards joked that he and Dupree should have behaved more like WWE's Chief Content Officer:
"I believe it. I believe it to the ends of the Earth because of the memo story and because of a hundred other things, but you know what? Dude's a legend, dude was a perennial main-eventer, dude runs the company, he's revered, so I guess Rene and I are the idiots for not paying attention to the things that are most important, like not looking vulnerable in a video game and making sure, at least on paper, you have the biggest quads in the company!" In a separate video, Richards reflected on when he witnessed a former WWE couple abruptly leave their jobs on the day of a show.
