While WWE has been very innovative with its storylines and characters over the past few years, a new character is apparently a little too similar to one from AEW. Veteran journalist Bill Apter recently shared his thoughts on the topic, but refused to call it a "rip-off."

Blake Monroe (aka Mariah May) recently made her debut in WWE, immediately catching the attention of fans with her style and flair. Her talent, for those who did not witness her work in AEW, is considerable, and her skills in the ring are nothing to scoff at either. However, Bill Apter believes that her current character is too similar to Toni Storm's Timeless persona.
Speaking on UnSKripted, the veteran journalist stated:

"I am not gonna use the word rip-off, but this is very close to the Hollywood version of Toni Storm as well if you really think about it... I am hoping that this is gonna go over very well. I'd like to see her as a surprise, in a surprise match at Evolution, I think that would raise her stock." [21:08 onwards]

For now, it remains to be seen what is next for Blake Monroe in WWE.

Although Shubhajit admires numerous pro wrestlers, his current favorite is WWE superstar Drew McIntyre. He is fond of The Scottish Warrior’s character work and innovative quips.
If there is one storyline he can work on in WWE, Shubhajit would book Roman Reigns’ future with The Bloodline following WrestleMania XL, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. He would have Reigns’ stablemates excommunicate him, laying the foundation for a gimmick change for the former. After Reigns’ exit from the faction, Shubhajit would portray him as an anti-hero trying hard to claw his way back up to the top.
