The NXT Championship was on the line in the main event of this week's episode of WWE NXT. The referee made a massive botch during the bout, leaving the crowd confused.

Oba Femi defended the coveted title against Jasper Troy. He got chokeslammed onto a car windshield in the parking lot when the show went on air, but was cleared to compete. The Ruler hit the WWE LFG winner with multiple strikes immediately after the bell rang.

Troy slammed Oba on the mat and hit a senton for a two-count. The NXT Champion dropped Jasper Troy with a bodyslam and hit a series of strikes. The challenger planted Oba Femi with a delayed vertical suplex and the latter hit a big chop. Jasper Troy clotheslined Oba at ringside and The Ruler got tossed hard into the turnbuckles, snapping the second one.

Jasper Troy hit Oba Femi with a few headbutts and a chokeslam. The WWE NXT Champion tried to go for the Fall From Grace but got slammed with a backdrop. Troy caught Oba with a Black Hole Slam and got a two-count. Oba Femi planted Jasper Troy with a Fall From Grace and went for the cover but the referee only counted to two.

Troy did not kick out and his shoulders were still on the mat. The official botched it, and even Oba Femi was confused. The crowd was also confused. Soon after, the champion hit his finisher again and this time the ref counted to three, giving Oba the win.
