WWE SmackDown Superstar Carmelo Hayes recently took to social media to break his silence after his draft on the blue brand.
Hayes has had a stellar year and has made a strong impression among the fans since his debut on the developmental brand. All of this was evident as the superstar clinched the NXT Championship on April 1, 2023 after defeating bron Breakker. In the recent WWE Draft 2024, Hayes was drafted to the blue brand in Round One. It would now be interesting to see what strategy he follows to go against The American Nightmare and other big names on WWE SmackDown.
Melo took to his Twitter account in order to share a message with his fans post draft. He reposted an old post of his where he had predicted he would be a 'First Round Draft Pick,' with the following comment:
"Took long enough (emoji)."

WWE SmackDown's Carmelo Hayes opened up on The SmackDown Lowdown, and reflected upon his belief system post draft.
Speaking to Byron Saxton, Melo stated how he was destined to achieve greater things in wrestling. He also left an impression of how he's already recognised as suitable opponent against Cody Rhodes as he was picked in the first round of WWE Draft 2024. Hayes added that even though he might not have won the bout agaisnt The American Nightmare, he has made sure the fans know his identity as a major player in the company.
He detailed:
"I went into this thing, win or loss, I wanted to make that statement. At the end of the day, I know I'm destined for greatness. Going [up] against a guy like Cody Rhodes, WWE champ for a reason. I might not have made it through, [and] I might not have beat Cody Rhodes but I shot from the low go and I hit rim on that. They could've picked anybody, there's a room full of them, but [they] came and they picked me second in the first round because they know that Carmelo Hayes is Him."
It would be exciting for the fans to witness how Carmelo Hayes achieves new milestones in the company in the future.
