Wrestling personality Jim Cornette reacted to a surprising claim by WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. The Hulkster reportedly said he suggested the name "Triple H" for himself back in 1990 when he wanted to turn heel.

During a recent episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, the 62-year-old veteran and Brian Last discussed Hogan's quote from WWE's Most Wanted Treasures episode. The former World Champion recalled putting over The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 6 only to drop his babyface persona and become Triple H - Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

However, Vince McMahon scrapped this idea. The former manager discredited The Hulkster's statement about him being the original "Triple H" before Paul Levesque:

"The only reason there was a Triple H ever to begin with is because Paul Levesque's first gimmick in WWF at the time was Hunter Hurst Helmsley," Cornette said. "And he had the polo pony riding outfit and jacket and the ruffled and he curtsied. It was another one of those f**king instant death goddamn gimmicks that Vince was handing out at that time period," he continued.

The 62-year-old veteran asserted that even the Hollywood Hulk Hogan gimmick would not have existed because The Immortal resisted turning heel for a long time until his babyface character was falling to pieces in front of the WWE Universe:

"Not only was it not a Triple H thing to be in the WWF at 92 that Hulk said he had this idea but Hollywood Hulk Hogan had not been goddamn thought of either because he was resiting, Hogan was resisting every effort that anybody had made to turn him heel," Jim Cornette added. [3:12 - 4:29]

Hulk Hogan also credited himself for bringing The Undertaker to WWE

While speaking in a video on his website, The Hulkster stated he was the one to bring The Undertaker to WWE. He mentioned that he met Mark Calaway on the set of Suburban Commando film in 1991.

Since Hogan was impressed by the former World Heavyweight Champion's physique, he went on to introduce The Undertaker to Vince McMahon to ultimately become a WWE Superstar.

"We became really good friends and once we were done I said ‘Man you should come to New York.’ So I brought Mark Calaway in to meet Vince [McMahon] and Vince took a long look at him, he was a monster at six foot ten and in really good shape and Vince goes ‘I’m gonna call you The Undertaker.’ I just said ‘Oh my god, this will never work with the bodybags and dead people’ but I was wrong on that one, so The Undertaker was born," Hogan said.

Despite Hulk Hogan's claims, The Deadman has never attributed the 70-year-old legend for bringing him to Titanland. The wrestling world has to wait for Undertaker's acknowledgment on the matter.
