What’s the story?Earlier in the week, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that former WWE World Champion Rey Mysterio will make his official in-ring debut for the company at this year’s Dominion pay-per-view. ‘The Master of the 619’ recently commented on his upcoming debut for the Japanese promotion, via his Twitter handle.In case you didn’t know…Rey Mysterio was originally scheduled to compete in a match against Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger at NJPW's first ever Strong Style Evolved show which took place on the 25th of March at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California.However, due to an unfortunate bicep injury which Mysterio suffered at a Northeast Wrestling show, his match against Liger was eventually called off.The heart of the matterAs noted, New Japan Pro Wrestling recently unveiled the match card for this year’s Dominion 6.9 show and alongside WWE veteran Chris Jericho, former two-time Rey Mysterio has also been confirmed to compete in an NJPW ring, later next month.Osaka 🇯🇵!!!!
