What’s the story?

On episode 87 of Being The Elite, Kenny Omega’s issues with his Bullet Club stable-mates seemed to continue.

While Omega and the rest of the Bullet Club Elite stable-mates visited several different restaurants around Wrestle Kingdom 12, the former got into an argument with Cody and left the scene immediately after.

Bullet Club fans as well as professional wrestling industry insiders are now well aware of the fact that they’re building towards a Kenny Omega vs. Cody feud which will likely play out as a long-running rivalry in the days to come.

While Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Marty Scurll, Cody & Brandi Rhodes visited several plush eateries in Tokyo before and after, their matches at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 12 annual extravaganza; tensions between Omega and the rest of Bullet Club simmered nonetheless.

The heart of the matter

Kenny Omega successfully defended his IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho at Wrestle Kingdom 12, however, in episode 87 of Being The Elite, Omega asserted that he’s not happy with his stable-mates being unsubstantially involved in his aforementioned matchup with Jericho.

Furthermore, Omega also expressed his displeasure at Cody wrestling Kota Ibushi at the event and affirmed that he is the boss. In response to Omega’s claim, Cody fired back; stating—“You’re not the boss!”

Omega appeared flustered, following which he walked out; leaving his Bullet Club teammates puzzled.

What’s next?

Fans can expect Kenny Omega and Cody to continue simmering their slow-burning feud, which is likely to reach a crescendo and culminate in a match between the two.
