NJPW star Kota Ibushi to sign with the WWE?

Heading to WWE?

The WWE has taken to poaching a lot of talent from NJPW lately. There have been WWE Superstars in the past such as Yoshi Tatsu who made the jump from NJPW but success did not grace them. The WWE have signed NJPW Superstars such as AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and it is speculated that Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson are soon to join the WWE.

Joe Burgett of Inquisitr reported that another NJPW big name might ply his trade in the WWE. Kota Ibushi recently announced that he will be leaving NJPW and DDT after his contract expires.

Ibushi suffered from a serious injury and faced cervical disk herniation last November. He is set to return late in March but will be a free agent once his contract with DDT expires.

Ibushi is an acclaimed wrestler and has had a lot of success holding various titles in NJPW. Triple H recently announced that the WWE would be holding a Global Cruiserweight Championship.

Recent signing Shinsuke Nakamura is reported to have suggested Ibushi’s name to Triple H for the tournament. In the future Nakamura can be used to pool talent from the Japanese pro wrestling leagues starting with Kota Ibushi.
