Johnny Gargano has been a cornerstone of WWE NXT for years now. He has held all the men’s titles in NXT and has helped push several other superstars. However, Sunday night will be all about him and his quest to win the NXT Championship.
Gargano recently had a good reign with the NXT North American Championship, and he must be looking to level up to the NXT title again. He already had a short reign with the championship before and will look for another better run with the title.
Austin Theory will also be at ringside to back up his mentor during the contest and possibly provide him with a few assists. That could end up working in Gargano’s favor as the veteran could lock Pete Dunne in the Gargano Escape to make him tap out and pick up the victory.
Johnny Wrestling could be the perfect man to dethrone Karrion Kross without having him involved in the finish of the match.
It looks like Gargano will not be leaving the brand for the main roster, and he could free up The Herald of Doomsday for a possible move to SmackDown or RAW following the event.
