WWE News: New superstar's debut teased on NXT this week

This ominous image appeared in a vignette this week on NXT...

What's the story?

During this week's edition of NXT, a short vignette aired with a dark figure coming out of a light cloud of smoke teasing the debut of someone. The vignette didn't keep it a secret for long as at the end, the following graphic was shown:

The spades signify that the Queen Of Spades, Shayna Baszler, is on her way to NXT, well, soon.

In case you didn't know...

Baszler began her MMA career in 2003 and has competed in a total of 26 fights with a record of 15-11. Of those fights, one of them was in the UFC in 2014 at UFC 177 where she lost to Bethe Correia nearly two minutes into the second round by TKO.

The heart of the matter

The runner-up of the Mae Young Classic is on a collision course with NXT, and that ominous video should serve as a warning to the entire women's roster. While it's unknown what Baszler's intentions are upon arrival at NXT, one has to wonder if revenge is on her mind for losing to Kairi Sane in the finals.

There are also rumors that she will join her friends and fellow Four Horsewomen Ronda Rousey, Marina Sharif, and Jessamyn Duke to take on the Four Horsewomen of WWE in Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley at WrestleMania 34.

Reports from USA Today on Wednesday came out that stated that Rousey is the final stages of completing a deal with the WWE, so the potential first chapter of this possible eight-women encounter is on the horizon.

What's next?

Author's take

Great vignette. I didn't know what to expect when I saw Baszler compete in the Mae Young Classic, but she thoroughly impressed me. Her match with Sane was great and an amazing way to cap off the very first Mae Young Classic.

Her intimidation factor is going to add a new dynamic to the women's division of NXT, and that intimidation may have already started with that vignette tonight.
