#1. First Takeover at Full Sail since 2016
This weekend's Takeover event will take place from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. Full Sail was seen as the home of WWE's NXT brand for a number of years before the decision to take the Takeover shows on the road was made.
WWE doesn't want these wrestlers back - Find out now!
The last Takeover show that took place from Full Sail was Takeover: The End back in 2016. It's also interesting to note that on Sunday, it'll be exactly four years since that show took place on June 8th. The show also included current WWE stars Asuka, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Nia Jax.
WWE's developmental brand has since been on the road performing in front of sell-out crowds the night before WWE main roster pay-per-views over the last few years.
It was announced in late 2019 that NXT's pay-per-views would now be taking place on their own Sundays, but so far Portland has been the only Takeover event to take place since the announcement.
Finn Balor main evented the show that night in a match against Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship. This weekend he faces Damien Priest after weeks of issues between the two stars. Balor is the only star who will feature on both the PPVs.
