The NXT UK Heritage Cup was on the line in tonight's main event. Challenger Tyler Bate was accompanied to the ring by his Moustache Mountain teammate, Trent Seven.

This week's NXT UK main event kicked off with Tyler Bate quickly downing his opponent with a wrist lock into headscissors to begin with, but A-Kid fought his way out within seconds. Tyler Bate continued to attempt to target A-Kid's wrist. He drove him to the mat as he held on, and drove his knee into his shoulder.

A-Kid then reversed this and managed to down Bate with a wristlock of his own. With seconds to go, Tyler Bate worked his way free. The first round ended 0-0.

Round two of the NXT UK headline match began with A-Kid managing to drive Tyler Bate down to the match with a headlock. Tyler Bate fought free, but then A-Kid grabbed him in another wristlock. Bate freed himself again.

Tyler Bate then took control of the action with a headscissors on the mat. A-Kid took over again, and targeted Bate's arms by pulling them back by his wrists. Bate eventually freed himself by pushing back A-Kid with a kick to the chest. Like the first round, the second ended 0-0.

Round three of the NXT UK Heritage Cup match started with A-Kid seemingly in control again. Bate then gathered momentum and managed to quickly evade and reverse A-Kid's offense.

A-Kid then hit Tyler Bate with a vicious strike across the face. The action picked up more pace at this point, and transitioned from a more technical affair to something more physical.

Tyler Bate came back at A-Kid with strikes of his own, and as Bate went to use the ropes, A-Kid charged at his challenger and both men spilled to the outside of the NXT UK ring. Again, round three ended with another 0-0 score.
