Opinion: How WWE Creative could positively book Braun Strowman

After some huge victories under his belt, including a major win at WWE's The Greatest Royal Rumble earlier this year, 'The Monster Among Men' Braun Strowman had gathered a lot of momentum and was crazy over among WWE fans.

However, given Vince's 'Guy' and the poster boy of WWE, Roman Reigns' presence as the top babyface of the company, Strowman never got a real chance to flourish, and was overlooked on a number of occasions by the WWE Creative.

After the heartbreaking announcement of The Big Dog's departure from WWE due to leukemia, it was assumed that the Strowman era would finally begin in WWE, but things did not pan out as expected.

Brock Lesnar completely decimated Strowman in a squash match, and won the Universal Championship for the second time in his career at Crown Jewel.

Strowman's recent feud with Baron Corbin after the major loss at Crown Jewel has left some fans referring to Strowman as damaged goods. However, personally I feel Strowman still has potential to get over if booked right.

Pushing Braun Strowman directly in the main event for the Universal Championship is not going to work here, WWE needs to start again from scratch.

First of all, WWE needs to make him build his lost momentum, for that he needs an anti-authority push, not against Corbin, but against a heel Vince McMahon. Creative could have him destroy Constable Baron Corbin and cut a fiery promo, ranting against WWE and Vince McMahon about how he was misused. He could then go on to destroy Vince and his puppets in the following weeks.

History has shown us on numerous occasions how people like and connect to anti-authority feuds. Be it the Attitude Era, when Stone Cold Steve Austin used to be a bad-ass anti-authority figure or the Modern Era when 'The Best In The World' CM Punk got crazy over among fans due to his 'Pipebomb' promo. Thus, an anti-authority feud would be 'best for business' with regards The Monster Among Men.

Once Braun Strowman becomes high on confidence and momentum, WWE could then launch him back in the main-event scene, where he could demolish Brock Lesnar to win the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2019.
