Predicting all 30 Participants in the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble Match

2018 Royal Rumble ended with Ronda Rousey's debut
2018 Royal Rumble ended with Ronda Rousey's debut

Last year, WWE hosted the first ever women's Royal Rumble match. Asuka won the match but her victory was overshadowed by the debut of Ronda Rousey. Regardless of that, the Rumble match itself was thoroughly entertaining as the superstars of today shared the ring with the superstars of the eras gone by. Several Hall of Famers and past superstars participated in the match and brought a good dose of nostalgia to the match.

But unlike last year when the women's roster was paper thin, this year the roster has a few more names in it. Including the NXT women's roster and the newly formed NXT UK Women's Roster, we have well over 30 women at WWE's disposal for the Royal Rumble match. Every woman on the roster will be fighting for a shot at Asuka or Ronda Rousey's gold. Here I will be counting the 30 possible entrants in this year's Royal Rumble match.

From the NXT UK Women's Division:

#30. Toni Storm - Toni Storm just won the NXT UK Women's Championship. Not only that, she recently won the 2nd annual Mae Young Classic as well. She had her main roster debut at WWE Evolution where she defeated Io Shirai to win the aforementioned tournament. It is fairly certain that WWE will have someone from the UK division and it is more than likely that it will be Storm.

#29. Rhea Ripley - This is uncertain but I want to include her anyway for a couple of reasons. Ripley seems to be on the cusp of breaking into the NXT Women's Main Roster as she is a massively over character in the UK Division. Secondly, she had her NXT UK Women's Championship match cut from the Evolution Card. So her inclusion in the Rumble just might be WWE's way of making it up to her.

From the NXT Women's Division:

Baszler defeated Sane to become the first 2-time NXT Women's Champion.

#28. Shayna Baszler - NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon made her way to the Rumble match last year and it should be no surprise if Baszler does the same. Moreover, Baszler's involvement can even sow seeds for the battle between the Four Horsewomen of MMA and the Four Horsewomen of WWE. WWE will like some women from NXT to make their way in the Rumble match and the NXT Women's Champion is a sure certainty.

#27. Io Shirai - WWE has always given at least one NXT superstar an opportunity in the Men's Rumble Match ever since the brand's inception. But never have they repeated anyone. So if they follow the same principle here, the only other recognizable superstar in the NXT Women's Roster is Io Shirai. Shirai is one of the best women's wrestlers in the world. She had an amazing match against Toni Storm at WWE Evolution as well. Her participation will be a good introduction to the main roster for her.

From the Raw Women's Roster:

Alexa Bliss recently announced her return to the ring

#26. Alexa Bliss - Bliss recently announced her return to the ring following concussion-related issues. She has been one of Raw's top performers for over a year and it should not come as a doubt that she will be in this match.

#25. Alicia Fox - Fox announced her participation in the match on the January 7th episode of Monday Night Raw.

#24. Bayley - Bayley announced her participation on the December 31st episode of Monday Night Raw.

#23. Dana Brooke - Although not officially announced yet, WWE will need women to just fill out spots in the Rumble match. Also as part of the main roster, Brooke has gone on record to voice her dissatisfaction on how little she has been used on TV. So she will likely make it to the Rumble match.

#22. Ember Moon - Moon announced her participation on the December 31st episode of Monday Night Raw.

#21. Liv Morgan - Morgan announced her participation on the December 31st episode of Monday Night Raw.

#20. Sarah Logan - Logan announced her participation on the December 31st episode of Monday Night Raw.

#19. Ruby Riott - Riott announced her participation on the December 31st episode of Monday Night Raw.

#18. Natalya - Natalya announced her participation on the December 31st episode of Monday Night Raw.

#17. Tamina - After a brief stint with Nia Jax which may or may not be over, Tamina is likely to make it to the Rumble match as well just to be thrown out by her partner at some point.

#16. Nia Jax - Jax was denied a shot at Rousey's Women's Championship when Rousey chose Sasha Banks as her new challenger. So, it is almost a certainty that she will end up in the Rumble match.

#15. Sasha Banks - Out of all women on this list I am least sure about Banks' involvement in the match. Last year due to the lack of women, WWE didn't book any Women's Title matches on the show. But this year they went ahead and booked two matches anyway. This might just be their way of clearing more spots for other women. But I still believe Sasha Banks will make her way into the Rumble match as there is no way Rousey drops the title to her.

From the SmackDown Women's Roster:

Charlotte, Asuka and Becky Lynch main evented the TLC PPV.

#14. Charlotte Flair - With Becky Lynch winning the triple threat number one contender match for Asuka's title on SmackDown, Charlotte is the clear favorite to win the Royal Rumble Match. There is absolutely no doubt she will be in the match and might just win it all.

#13. Carmella - After winning the Mixed Match Challenge with R-Truth, Carmella won the right to enter the Royal Rumble match at #30.

#12. Mandy Rose - Rose announced her participation in the match on WWE's Twitter Page.

#11. Sonya Deville - Deville announced her participation in the match on WWE's Twitter Page.

#10. Naomi - Naomi announced her participation in the match on the January 8th episode of SmackDown Live.

#9. Zelina Vega - Vega announced her participation in the match via her Twitter.

#8. Billie Kay - WWE will need more women to fill up the spots and Billie Kay along with Peyton Royce can have some good story-telling moments in the match. It is almost certain she will make it to the Rumble match.

#7. Peyton Royce - As mentioned above, Royce will also certainly make it to the Rumble match alongside her tag team partner Billie Kay.

#6. Lana - Lana is one superstar I really doubt will make it to the Rumble. Recently she was put into the Rusev-Nakamura storyline and is currently injured in kayfabe. This just might put her out of the Rumble match just so they have space for one more surprise entrant. But given how popular she is, I'll still bet on her making it to the match.

#5. Becky Lynch - Becky Lynch is the current odds on favorite to win the Women's Royal Rumble match. If she does not win the SmackDown Women's Title against Asuka it is more than likely that she will make it to the Rumble match. Given the fact that the betting odds are rarely wrong, I'm sure Becky will make it to the Rumble match.

Surprise Entrants:

Lita and Trish

#4 and #3. The Bella Twins - With the new season of Total Bellas returning on TV, WWE will love to promote the show with the Bellas appearing on live TV. They might also take part in the build-up to Wrestlemania and this will be a perfect place for them to return to action.

#2. Lita - Lita is one of the stalwarts of the women's division. Her high flying antiques made her hugely popular during the Ruthless Aggression Era. She returned to the ring at the Evolution PPV and had a tag team match with her partner Trish. She also wrestled on Raw the next night and revealed that WWE initially had plans for her all the way to Wrestlemania.

#1. Trish Stratus - Trish Stratus is one of the all-time greats in Wrestling History. As mentioned earlier, she participated in a tag team match at WWE Evolution and on Raw the next night. She and Lita defeated Mickie James and Alicia Fox and Trish looked like she never left. Again as mentioned earlier, it was revealed WWE had initial plans for them all the way to Wrestlemania so we can expect to see Trish back on TV at the Royal Rumble.
