Lars Sullivan attacked EC3 during an episode of NXT before EC3's scheduled match with Raul Mendoza after EC3 blatantly accused Lars Sullivan of attacking Aleister Black on the episode of NXT after NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4.

EC3 then made his return several weeks later and attacked Lars Sullivan during his scheduled match with Victor Orchant. Because this rivalry only recently started and these two have nothing else to do on NXT, it is unlikely that this feud will end here. Therefore, this match will probably end in a no contest.
