Yes, it's going to happen. WWE have since the announcement of the Evolution PPV let out subtle hints about the coming of a women's tag division. Divided between Smackdown, RAW, and NXT; this division is the next step in the Women's Evolution.

From Sasha Banks and Bayley getting an official tag team name to Charlotte and Becky taunting them in a promo, all signs point to the need for a women's tag team division. It helps that there are so many ready-made teams willing to compete. It will also be the perfect detour for WWE to take with the current Banks-Bayley storyline, by giving them the clichéd but powerful tag team falls apart storyline.

Next to that WWE also gets a chance to bring back perennial rivals and friends Trish Stratus and Lita for a great showcase of matches, not just a one-off. Setting it up as a tournament will see the Hug and Boss Connection cut through the competition including Charlotte/Lynch while facing off the Women's Hall of Famers in a blockbuster final!

Result: The Hug and Boss Connection beat Trish Stratus and Lita to win and become the first ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions!
