#6 Finn Balor

Finn Balor will tussle with Lesnar for the Universal title at the Royal Rumble

Finn Balor was pushed as soon as he arrived on the main roster. He quickly became the first-ever Universal Champion, but he had to relinquish the title due to an injury sustained during his title match against Seth Rollins.

However, since his in-ring return, his push has been derailed probably because WWE just wanted to make sure Balor didn’t injure himself again. They did the same with Seth when he returned from his injury a couple of years ago.

But now it looks like WWE are finally ready to push ‘The Demon King’ into the main event slot and even into the Universal Title picture.

A clear indication of this was when he was suddenly booked to replace Braun Strowman in the Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar.

While Balor is clearly outmatched and will most probably end up losing the match, this is definitely a step in the right direction as far as Balor’s career is concerned.

Balor still hasn’t lost his star power and the WWE Universe are still crazy over ‘The Demon King’. This could very well be the beginning of a very fruitful year for Finn Balor and he could even finish the year back on top.

#5 Bobby Lashley

Lashley’s sudden heel turn catapulted his career even further

Bobby Lashley made his return to the WWE in 2018 after a terrific run in Impact Wrestling. Immediately, he was put in noteworthy storylines against Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

Lashley’s sudden heel turn catapulted his career even further. WWE have been protecting Lashley’s character for quite some time now. Lashley could still be seen in some big plans for the company in the coming years.

He was the one that pretty much carried Impact Wrestling when AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode left the company. WWE must’ve taken notice of his work and that could be one of the reasons why they signed him directly onto the main roster.

However, WWE has learned from their mistakes in the past and are pushing Lashley methodically and slowly. In fact, 2019 could be his breakthrough year in the company.

WWE has already started pushing him given that he just won the Intercontinental Championship this past week on RAW. He could be pushed a bit more in the upcoming months.
