Predictions: 6 WrestleMania matches that could happen

It's all going down in New Orleans
It's all going down in New Orleans

With the show of shows just around the corner and only one WWE PPV left in the calendar on the 'Road to WrestleMania', there are already some locked in matches for the card, as well as some clear rumored matches now Elimination Chamber has happened. Will we see The Undertaker or HHH wrestle, will there be any surprises in store for us? WWE Fastlane approaches but we can now take a look at the matches that are most likely to take place at New Orleans.

#6 AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura

AJ vs Shinsuke
A dream match

The first predicted match on this list is one of the more certain matches going into WrestleMania. Shinsuke won the 2018 Royal Rumble and AJ is currently the WWE Champion. Barring a massive upset at Fastlane, AJ is more than likely to still be champion at WrestleMania and give fans the rematch of their WrestleKingdom 10 match. The main event at Fastlane more than likely sets the stage for the second match on this list and allows AJ to seamlessly get to 'Mania as the champion with Shinsuke picking up the win at WrestleMania.

#5 Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens

Replay this final battle from a former life?

Kevin Owens has had WrestleMania memories ruined by best friends and former best friends. After losing the ladder match at WrestleMania 31 due to taking an exploder onto a ladder from Sami Zayn, and then not having his match with Jericho last year supported by Vince, Owens will definitely need a strong showing this year to cement himself in the main event picture again. Who better to have that match with than his real life and current storyline best friend Sami Zayn.

As they are now teasing a breakup between them, a WrestleMania main event involving ladders would definitely be exciting and be something that both of them have been a part of multiple times in their careers.

#4 Shane McMahon vs Daniel Bryan

Will these arguments finally result in a fight?
Will these arguments finally result in a fight?

This match is entirely dependent on Bryan being cleared by WWE doctors, which has been the case for nearly 2 years. The story has been building week after week to tease a massive falling out between the two and would make sense to culminate in a WrestleMania match as a showcase for the diehard WWE fan. That being said, as this isn't down to writers, and only down to medical grounds, the chances of the match happening are certainly slimmer than the other matches in this list.

#3 Brock Lesner vs Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman

Will Braun get added to the mix?
Will Braun get added to the mix?

Roman Reigns is an obvious piece of the puzzle here, given his win at Elimination Chamber and the graphics already made for Roman vs Brock. However, Braun now has no obvious challenger at WrestleMania and has nothing to fight for. So having him destroy 5 other men in the Chamber and win the Gauntlet match, after having the year he has had, wouldn't make sense for him not to be involved at Mania.

Braun will end up getting added to the main event, possibly by Kurt Angle now he has seemingly parted ways with HHH and Stephanie, and ensure the most popular superstar on the roster at the moment has his WrestleMania moment

#2 The Undertaker vs John Cena

Retirement vs Retirement?
Retirement vs Retirement?

Although there has been no word from The Undertaker since Raw 25, John Cena has been losing more than winning, and now does not have an opponent for WrestleMania for the first time in 15 years. To start a feud for him now against another person on the roster would not have the gravitas needed, so what better way to slot in an opponent then give the WWE Universe what they want and have 'The Deadman' walk down one more time to the squared circle.

With 5 weeks of TV left before the event in New Orleans, there is plenty of time to get Taker back on our screens and into a retirement vs retirement match with Cena to fully put a nail in the casket of the 7ft legend.

#1 Triple H & Stephanie vs Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey

Rousey's first match in the WWE against one of the greatest of all time?
Rousey's first match in the WWE against one of the greatest of all time?

After Ronda's initial entrance into WWE looked like as an ally with Triple H and Stephanie, and then subsequent 'pot stirring' by Kurt Angle at Elimination Chamber, it looks as if HHH pedigreeing Angle at Survivor Series has come back to haunt him. In a segment reminiscent of when Stone Cold ruined Vince McMahon's Mike Tyson unveiling, Angle told Ronda some home truths about HHH and Stephanie's real motivations behind her signing. With this known, Ronda put HHH through a table before being slapped aggressively by Steph.

With Angle and Rousey both being former Olympians and Ronda legitimately having Angle as a hero to her, this match will surely happen at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
