Randy Orton hasn't been able to move on from The Bloodline. It started back in the day when The Bloodline helped Roman Reigns against The Viper and then shelved him. The Apex Predator was out of WWE for 18 months before returning at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Following his return, The Apex Predator was in a Fatal Four-Way with then-Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, and LA Knight, but failed to capture the title from The Tribal Chief. After Royal Rumble 2024, Randy Orton worked in other angles such as the Elimination Chamber match or for the United States Championship against Logan Paul. Now, The Viper has finally returned to The Bloodline angle, but this time he might not only be about destroying The Bloodline but also revealing the true "chief" of the faction - The Rock.

On WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and Cody Rhodes are expected to confront The Bloodline over the ambush at Clash at the Castle. During that confrontation, The Apex Predator can point out the difference between how Roman Reigns led the faction and how Solo Sikoa is running it. Furthermore, he can point out that Sikoa's style is more aligned with how The Rock would have run the stable rather than The Tribal Chief.

Once the differences are pointed out and Solo Sikoa is rattled, The Apex Predator can reveal that it is indeed The Rock who is running The Bloodline via Solo Sikoa, and the orders aren't coming from The Tribal Chief at all. This can lead to The Bloodline attacking Orton, Owens, and Rhodes again but failing to dominate the babyfaces.

Not only can this set up a return for The Rock to help Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, but could also bring a new twist to The Bloodline saga.

Randy Orton will be in action against Tama Tonga on WWE SmackDown

The Apex Predator was in the King of the Ring tournament but failed to earn the crown in the final round against Gunther. Had he won, Randy Orton would have earned a title shot at SummerSlam 2024.

Now, Orton has another chance to earn a guaranteed title shot at the Money in the Bank contract. The Viper will take on Tama Tonga and Carmelo Hayes in a Triple Threat match on tonight's SmackDown. Whoever wins will qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

If The Viper can win the qualifier and the ladder match, the Money in the Bank briefcase will allow him to cash it in whenever he wants to for a year. However, it remains to be seen whether The Bloodline will be a hindrance in Orton's path to a historic title win.
