#3 Matt Riddle def. Roderick Strong

Matt Riddle has been a rising star ever since joining NXT, and it's only a matter of time until he's on top, and while this wasn't the biggest match on the show, it was every bit the physical war we expected it to be. From start to finish, Strong and the former UFC star Riddle tore shreds off each other, with unique and innovative ways to inflict pain on each other, and it was the perfect way to kick off yet another great Takeover show.

With another dominant Takeover win, this puts The Original Bro right into NXT Championship contention, especially after he defeated current Champion Adam Cole's stablemate in Strong. Ultimately, this match will be just another moment in the long story between the Bro and The Era, and while it won't go down in history, it was a great way to kick off the show.
